How Can soreness And Pain In The Upper Back Be Treated?

Hi I am currently dealing with soreness and cramping in my muscles in my back upper back near the shoulder blades and on my right side over my upper ribs I have lumbar spondylosis and I have scoliosis mildly but I do lift too much groceries and laundry standing to long I feel its my fault because I haven t taken the rest time between chores as I should I have resting upward heat compresses and bathe soaks it helps but morning stiffness that s it just a little concerned because I hate being still part of the problem I am 61

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to myalgia.

I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medications for the pain such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend using the anti-inflammatory cream for local application.

Heat compresses can also be helpful.

If the symptoms continue I suggest you consult an orthopedist for further evaluation and treatment.
